Apple finally unveiled its new flagship smartphone, the iPhone 7, during a press event on last Wednesday in San Francisco. The new model will have a refreshed water-resistant design without a headphone jack, a force-sensitive home button, and a new glossy finish. The larger iPhone 7 Plus model also features two separate camera lenses.
CEO of the top technology company, Tim Cook took to the stage at the Bill Graham Civic in San Francisco and told: “We have created the world’s most advanced smartphone – the best iPhone we have ever created. This is iPhone 7.”
The iPhone 7 will start at $649 while the Plus will be available from $749. Both phones will come in 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB options, with notably cutting the 16GB storage option. Pre-orders began on September 9 and the phone will begin shipping on September 16.
It will be available in two new finishes: black and jet black, the latter of which has a glossy look. The brand has also made the antenna on the back of the phone less visible to create a more seamless aesthetic.
On the other hand,Brand will also be releasing a new version of its EarPod earbuds that connect to the new iPhone via the Lightning connector. These new EarPods and a dongle for connecting older headphones to the iPhone 7 will be included along with the new iPhone.
The Apple Watch Series 2 also released, and it made a big, water-resistant splash at Apple’s launch event, giving us a revision that’s closer to the smartwatch we always wanted.

Its biggest highlight is the most-requested Watch 2 feature: a built-in GPS chip. This allows for more advanced tracking, whether you’re hitting the ground running or gazing up at the stars in the sky –and crucially means you can leave your iPhone at home when you go for a run.
