Get creative with your packaging this holiday season, we are ready to unveil How To Create 5 Original Wrap this Christmas.
One of the greatest joys of the holiday season is giving gifts to your loved ones. When it comes to the question of how to wrap that perfect present there as many options as gifts possibilities.
While classic wrapping paper might be easy to come by, truly standout presentation requires thinking outside of the traditionally wrapped box. No one knows this better than gifting expert Simone LeBlanc. In 2013 she opened her very own studio in Los Angeles, where she creates custom presents—gift wrap included—for big-name clients all year long. When someone asks her how to be more creative with gift packaging this year she happily shares her experience.
Choose an unusual material
To make your gift even more exceptional—and sustainable—LeBlanc suggests wrapping the item in fabric. “Wash some linen and toss it in the dryer so it can get soft and rumpled,” she says. “It will be much more forgiving that way, and you can go for more of a loose wrap, gathered with ribbon or twine.”
Create a memento
If you ask LeBlanc, wood boxes are gifts that keep on giving. “Not only do they instantly make your gifts look more chic, each box can be repurposed as a storage container to hold keepsakes down the road,” she says.

Go au naturel
One of the easiest ways to elevate your gift presentation is to switch out the bow for greenery. “Muslin baggies tied with ribbon and fresh or dried foliage makes an unexpected but sophisticated statement,” LeBlanc says. Here, she attached neutral leaves and velvet ribbons to a miniature grapevine wreath.
Upgrade store-bought packaging
When all else fails, glam up a paper gift box. LeBlanc likes to ornament basic cartons with simple strokes of metallic paint to create a one-of-a-kind look. Running short on time? Just tie on a pretty ribbon or add a fresh flower topper.
Put pen to paper
Few things make someone feel more special than a written note. LeBlanc suggests writing out your gift tags and cards whenever possible to personalise your presents without having to do any wrapping at all.
