Known as one of the most luxurious brands in the world, Louis Vuitton is an empire founded in 1854 by Louis Vuitton. Its products goes since luxury trunks and leather goods to ready-to-wear, shoes, watches, jewelry, accessories, sunglasses and books, making this brand one of the world’s leading international fashion houses. Recently, Louis Vuitton presents one more fantastic project: L’Appartement Louis Vuitton in Singapore, a range of specially curated Louis Vuitton pieces set in a unique space in the heart of this city. The brand has chosen Cameron Woo Design as the first Interior Design firm in Singapore to collaborate on L’Appartement.
Cameron Woo Design is an interior design firm established with offices in Sydney and Singapore, with residential and commercial projects across the Asia Pacific region. Cameron Woo is the founder of the company and already won the Best Residential Interior Designer Award for ASIA PACIFIC, at the International Property Awards.
The modern interior design of L’Appartement Louis Vuitton in colored with a rich palette of vivacious red, jade green, tangerine orange and midnight blue. Fretwork panels crafted in ebony wood are reminiscent of the geometric patterns inspired by traditional Ming and Qing dynasty furniture that makes a graphic backdrop in the living and dining areas, along with bamboo inspired ceilings and fixtures.
The modern space is a dream come true: complementing the chinoiserie aesthetic are trunks from the Louis Vuitton archives that were specially flown in – such as the Cigar Trunk, Wardrobe Trunk, Picnic Trunk, and innovative Perspex and exotic Runway Trunks from the Men’s Spring Summer 2017 Collection in collaboration with British artists Jake and Dinos Chapman.
While the iconic Louis Vuitton trunks are phenomenal, what is just lovely about L’Appartement Louis Vuitton is not just the trunks themselves, but the ideas presented about using specific trunks as furniture – such as a champagne trunk that would make a lovely centrepiece for your dining table, along with a psychedelic Boombox from the Women’s Cruise 2017 Collection that makes a statement on its own.
