After the brand La Carafe just re-manufactured and brought the Original Carafe from 50´-70´design up to date, restaurants and starred chefs presented it on their most contemporary tables.
Meanwhile, prestigious museums such as the Museum of decorative Arts of Paris, Pompidou Museum or MoMA in San Francisco incorporated it in their boutiques. As a result, they nearly sold 18 000 pieces in one year. How could we explain such popularity? Let´s discover it.
As soon as Laurent Caillet saw in the window of a junk shop in the Marais what he will launch as La Carafe, he was overwhelmed with emotion. The colourful pieces reminded him of all his childhood. None other usual object of that time had ever had this effect on him. How come la Carafe could have such evocation power? The answer is the perfect match between its shape and its use, in other words, it´s design excellence.
Stable, light and easy to use – does not flow, does not break. La Carafe is also nice and funny with its colourful botton, its ribs and its rounded base. It does touch our child soul. And as its design is naturally attractive for the look and gesture, it leaves a mark on us.
When you add the elegance and sensuality of its neck, you understand that it has seduced past and present generations.
Real decorative object, or design jar, La Carafe is born and manufactured in France (Roche-en-Bresnil, Morvan), it can stand all eyes and can be integrated in all sets.
