All the interior design world attention is in Paris, at Maison Objet Paris 2017.
The first interiors shows of the year, Köln and Paris, present the latest Porada’s collections with interesting combinations of materials and colours. Poudry, blue shadows will meet the warmth of browns in the fabrics, perfectly combined to our solid wood, canaletta walnut or ash moka stained. The great new idea for the living area is the modular sofa Kirk by Carlo Ballabio, with rational forms that favour comfort and the freedom to match and combine different elements in the various domestic situations, a challenge for Porada and a way to come ever closer to the customer.
“A designer knows he has achieved perfection not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.” Antoine de Saint‐Exupery
The environments are finished with multi‐purpose furniture, large mirrors and old style sofas as Allison, presented in Milan last April and already one of the most featured pieces of furniture on all the international magazines.
Rondò sideboard, Ziggy tables, Micol dressing table and the Arena collection of sofas and armchairs, designed the talented French designer Emmanuel Gallina, complete the atmosphere of the beautiful Porada homes rebuilt on the stand of the two fairs. Moreover, the night area has an important place, with the brand new Aida bedhead, Ziggy night tables and Webby low stools.
Dining has different interpretations. In Köln our “classic” Infinity table with Ester chairs, iconic pieces part of the production since 2009; in Paris the stunning double based Circe table, a new way of realizing an outstanding dining table with a wooden base, designed by David Dolcini. However a contemporary home, but one that flirts a little with tradition, favouring the evergreen warmth of wood in its most effective combinations to the minimal excesses of modern design.
