Interior Designer Kelly Behun has shared her vision for the penthouse inside the ‘432 park avenue’; the skyscraper designed by architect Rafael Viñoly.
The residence is located on the 92nd floor of the 96-storey tower in the heart of Manhattan, New York. The 3,977 square foot home rises above the city skyline at 1,224 feet elevation and boasts three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a powder room, library, laundry room, service entrance separate from the elevator landing and a formal entrance gallery.
432 park avenue is developed by CIM group and Macklowe properties, who asked Kelly Behun to realise the luxurious space and many of the bespoke pieces of furniture inside. For its design, Behun referenced 432 park avenue’s identified architecture, a perfect square designed by architect Rafael Viñoly, thinking off the pure geometry of the building by using asymmetrical pieces within and responding to the building’s signature 10-foot by 10-foot square windows.
‘My goal was to create a timelessly elegant space that feels warm and comfortable. My favourite aspect of the apartment has to be the views through those oversize windows,’ said Kelly Behun. ‘to have all of Manhattan unfurl below you in this way is nothing short of extraordinary, and nothing I would do inside could ever upstage that, so I just sought to create a warm embrace from which to enjoy it.’
Like other homes within the building, the light-filled penthouse features a windowed eat-in kitchen with marble breakfast bar, oak flooring and a master bathroom featuring statuary book-matched marble floor and walls, a freestanding soaking tub.
Furthermore, 432 park avenue’s amenities and services have been designed and curated to deliver a luxury experience on par with the world’s supervising five-star hotels, all in a private residential setting.
This penthouse is without a doubt one of the most luxuries and with breathtaking views that we have the pleasure of discovered.
